Sam joined CBSSM in November 2017. She works with Drs. Julie Wright, Michele Gornick, and Renuka Tipirneni on projects examining provider-patient communication regarding chronic kidney disease, VA data sharing, and the effect of Medicaid expansion on healthcare for low-SES aging adults.

She received her MPH in Epidemiology Methods and Applications and her BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan. Before becoming part of CBSSM, Sam worked on multiple sclerosis clinical studies and on surveillance studies monitoring seasonal influenza vaccine effectiveness.
