Research Associate

Morris joined CBSSM as a Research Specialist in October 2022 working on projects focused on improving patient safety through health-system interventions and assessing quality of cardiovascular care. Morris received his Master’s in Bioethics and Science Policy from Duke University in 2019. At Duke, Morris analyzed the ethics of quarantine through an oral history of the HIV epidemic in Cuba. After leaving Duke and before joining CBSSM, Morris worked as an ELSi (Ethical, Legal and Social issues) Research Associate at the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami. His scholarship there focused on comparative law and ethics, and he has been published in a number of journals, including Regenerative Medicine. When he is not working, Morris is probably playing disc golf.
