Hannah Fagen is a third year medical student at the University of Michigan Medical School and a current pre-doctoral clinical ethics fellow. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Health and Societies and completed a thesis about the cultural and clinical role of the well-baby nursery in American hospitals. She then completed her pre-medical coursework at Bryn Mawr College and worked in clinical research before beginning medical school. She is interested in providing compassionate, comprehensive primary care, and is particularly passionate about caring for children, women, and people who might not always receive high-quality healthcare due to bias relating to their sexuality, gender, weight, or disability. As a clinical ethicist in-training, she hopes to learn how to best assist clinicians, patients, and family members with making complex decisions.
