Hospital Visitation Policies Vary During Pandemic

Hospital visitation policies have varied widely throughout the pandemic, which could create inequity in access for patients and their families. In a recent article in the American Journal of Infection Control, Hillary Weiner (first author), Andrew Shuman (senior author), along with several CBSSM-affiliated faculty put a spotlight on this important challenge. In addition, in a recent American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Thomas Valley and colleagues discuss changes to visitation policies and communication practices in Michigan ICUs during the pandemic.
