An AMA Journal of Ethics article by CBSSM's Katherine Feder and Janice Firn, PhD "How Should Clinical Ethics Consultants Support Parents’ Decision Making?" was recently highlighted on the American Medical Association's website. Using a hypothetical case of a 3-year-old patient who suffered widespread brain damage after cardiac arrest during surgery, the authors explored how a clinical ethics consultant can adopt a personalized, values-based approach to facilitating grieving parents’ decision-making.
