Brian Zikmund-Fisher recently launched the "Foundational Skills for Communicating about Health" the online learning platform Coursera. The content in this course is also available in the online "Master of Public Health degree" from U-M School of Public Health.

Reshma Jagsi is the recipient of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Women in Medicine and Science Leadership Award. The honor is presented annually to an individual who demonstrates a significant impact on the advancement of women's roles in academic medicine and science.

Lesly Dossett was recently appointed co-director for the Michigan Program on Value Enhancement. MPrOVE is a joint initiative of Michigan Medicine's Quality Department and IHPI, which aims to bring experts together to improve quality and demonstrate value of care within the U-M health system.

Lesly Dossett was recently named to IHPI's Early Career Faculty Advisory Council. The council advises IHPI leadership on how to best leverage its resources to promote the success of early career faculty and accelerate the impact of their research.

The Ninth Cambridge Consortium for Bioethics Education was held July 2019 in Paris. CBSSM faculty, Reshma Jagsi, Janice Firn, Andrew Shuman, and Kayte Spector-Bagdady presented on "Strengthening Institutional Ethics Culture and Practice Through a System-Wide Approach to Ethics Pedagogy."
