CBSSM's January Bioethics Grand Rounds "Addressing COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy" panel of experts were mentioned in a recent article "Experts provide 7 key pieces of advice for convincing more people to be vaccinated when they can" by UM Health News. The CBSSM panel included Brian Zikmund-Fisher, PhD, Professor of Health Behavior and Health Education in the School of Public Health, Anna Kirkland, JD, PhD, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Director of the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, Abram Wagner, PhD, MPH, Research Assistant, and Professor of Epidemiology, and Susan Woolford, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, who are all cited in the February article.

The American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network (ATHN) is pleased to announce that Melissa Creary, PhD, MPH, will be serving as Senior Director of ATHN’s newly created Office of Public Health Initiatives. In this new role, Dr. Creary will assist ATHN in finding ways to leverage public health research and policy to make a broader impact within the bleeding and blood disorders community.
