On Tuesday, November 24, MCubed team (Chithra Perumalswami, MD, MS, postdoctoral research fellow in the Center for Bioethics and SocialSciences in Medicine, Bruce Tharp, PhD and Anne Mondro, MFA, Associate Professors in Art & Design, and Lesli Skolarus, MD, MS, and Jim Burke, MD, MS, Associate Professors in Neurology) will be seeking feedback on a project evaluating discursive design and its practical application with nudging end of life reflections and planning. We will be discussing new artifacts (change of fortune cookies, letters to loved ones, magic 8-ball, and others) that are situated earlier in the decision-making process (pre-contemplation) that serve to provocatively prime all users towards reflection. We seek feedback on the artifacts themselves, deployment, and testing of the deployment (surveys&interviews) for these artifacts. The dimensions tested are multiple and include provocative-agreeable, playful-serious, active-passive,group-individual, time-intensive-brief, high-low motivation, high-low effort,public-private consumption, and public-private dissemination.
