On Wednesday, June 20th, Dr. Lesly Dossett, MD, Department of Surgery, and Jackie Miller of CBSSM will be seeking feedback on an interview guide for a qualitative study of referring physicians’ perspectives and attitudes on medical errors. In particular, when medical errors are discovered in a different facility from where they occurred (whether after transition to a higher or lower level of care), there are no guidelines or clear professional norms to guide physician practice.
