Joel Howell, MD, PhD, was awarded the American College of Physicians (ACP) Nicholas E. Davies Memorial Scholar Award for Scholarly Activities in the Humanities and History of Medicine for 2013.

This award is given for outstanding contributions to humanism in medicine and will be bestowed in recognition of scholarly activities in history, literature, philosophy and ethics. The award is described in detail at ACP‘s website.

Congratulations to Dr. Kathryn Moseley! Dr. Moseley has been elected to the AMA Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA).

CEJA consists of nine members—seven practicing physicians, a resident, and a medical student—who are nominated by the American Medical Association's President and elected by the House of Delegates.

Jeff Kullgren was featured in Fall 2016 issue of Medicince at Michigan. The article highlights Dr. Kullgren's research focusing on improving patient and provider decision making, using insights from behavioral economics.

Geoffrey Barnes has been selected as one of 12 IHPI junior faculty members to serve on the Junior Faculty Advisory Council (JFAC) to advocate for junior faculty professional development programs and activities within IHPI, and to provide perspective and feedback on issues and opportunities identified and brought to the JFAC by the Institute Leadership Team.
