Kerry Ryan joined CBSSM in July 2010. Kerry has a BA in History (Kalamazoo College) and MA in Sociology (University of Michigan). She has coordinated a wide variety of projects while at CBSSM including gender equity issues in medicine, financial toxicity in breast cancer, therapeutic misconception among patients with ALS, patient perspectives on Huntington’s Disease clinical trials, provider and patient perspectives on reducing low value care, public views on topics such as biobank research consent, surrogate consent for research, health data sharing, and communicating genomic results. Kerry has expertise in coordinating, implementing, and analyzing data for democratic deliberations, focus groups, qualitative interviews, and surveys. She is an experienced qualitative interviewer and facilitator. She has also trained faculty, staff, and students in facilitation, qualitative interviewing, and qualitative analysis.
