Dr. Stephanie Kukora is a clinical lecturer in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. She completed pediatric bioethics training through the Kansas City Children’s Hospital, under the instruction of Drs. John Lantos and Diane Plantz, in 2014. Her research interests include shared decision-making in antenatal consultation, particularly parents’ values regarding the decision-making process for infants with poor prognoses. She also does work on education of medical trainees with advanced communication skills using improv theater exercises. She has served as a member of the Pediatric Ethics Committee since fellowship, and has recently started a global health partnership in neonatology between the University of Michigan Brandon NICU and the NICU at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
