Study finds that expanding Medicaid means health problems get found and health improves. Among those with common chronic diseases, 42% said they got diagnosed after enrolling in expanded Medicaid. Lead author, Ann-Marie Rosland, MD, MS worked with CBSSM's Susan Goold, MD, MHSA, MA and Jeffrey Kullgren, MD, MS, MPH and others carrying out an official evaluation of the Healthy Michigan Plan.

Timothy RB Johnson and Kayte Spector-Bagdady were recently interviewed about a proposed behavioral economics study of female genital multilation in Kenya. The study has been rejected four times by UCSD due, in part, to ethical concerns.
